Stallion

Peregrine is a registered class 2 Connemara stallion. His sire Kemill Hill Halligan was a multi national and state champion in harness CDE, Harness Dressage and show carriage driving. He was also sashed supreme Connemara at the Perth Royal multiple times both as a youngster and as a senior. He was a producer of national champions in harness dressage and CDE. His progeny have also gone on to be successful competition ponies both under saddle and inhand. Halligan was an exceptional quality stallion and a proven sire for producing quality ponies with exception temperaments, ridability and trainability.

Peregrine’s Dam Boonahburra Blue Wren is by Celtic Micheal McGee (Dec.). Micheal McGee is an Orange line stallion, and was owned by Boonahurra stud in Victoria. He was shown successfully in hand and under saddle and is a proven producer of quality all rounder ponies.

Peregrine as the only stallion son by Halligan and one of few stallions with Celtic Micheal McGee in his pedigree, makes him an ideal outcross for many purebred mares. With his calm trainable temperament, correct conformation, good movement and good strong hind quarters he has also proven himself to be a good cross over non Connemara mares.

Peri has been lightly shown in hand with success against both Connemara’s and open pony breeds. He was started under saddle but due to a paddock injury will not be competed under saddle as was planned. Peregrine is available at public stud $550 plus fees available by AI.
